Veterans, you can get money from the government to pay for your education!
The Servicemen’s Readjustment Act of 1944, commonly known as the GI Bill of Rights, was passed by Congress and signed by President Roosevelt to help Veterans rejoin the civilian community. Many thought it was patronizing, but most acknowledged the difficulties associated with leaving the military and getting a job. The GI Bill gave vets the opportunity to attend college and get a degree before hitting the workforce. Veterans still have that opportunity today. The government will pay up to $500 in tuition per school year PLUS a monthly allowance for expenses while enrolled.
Recently, benefits were added for Reservists who were called to active duty. Generally, payouts are based on the time spent in active duty and can run up to 80% of the full GI Bill education allowance.

and those who sign up agree to have one hundred dollars a month deducted from their basic pay for one year.
When the enlistee attends college, the military pays more than one thousand dollars a month at current rates
for full-time enrollment in an approved, accredited school.
